[TRANSITION] Relax
« on: March 21, 2008 »
Hey Folks,

here is my entry for the dbf 08 transition challenge its in Freebasic ascii, i dont know if it quite fits into this comp as i havent had the time to code transitions between effect's but i thought id post it any way to show my support.

its based more on fluidity through the demo.other than that it's called relax so turn the speakers up sit back and do just that  ;)

i hope the timers work ok on other systems as the whole demo works off of them.

music is by sash - littleriver

exe about 3.2 meg with mp3 music embedded.

source attached with exe - no mp3 music 64k

It's excellent nino, certainly your best demo yet.  I think you're right about it not being totally relevant to the comp though :)  The background fx are great and the colour conversion to ascii is very good - I like the way it goes from the hatching pattern to symbols and back.

It's a nice intro.

I'd love to see you adding more to this and releasing it at TDMC.

i think TMDC is dead now shock,

if i can get the time though i will add more to this and post it up. i thought tmdc was cool and i maybe could have come round to making something for it but it would have had to be really really good.

You could make something that can win a comp, I am sure..

You should join a group and work with some good artists and musicians. I think you'd probably enjoy it.

I really like the transition between the ANSI and ASCII and how it is synced with the music.

Do you still have the link with the media and exe dude, as the 3.2mb file is no longer available?
