[2BUTTON] Plasmafield
« on: February 24, 2008 »
I decided to try something for the 2 button competition. And since I'd love to use demoeffects in games I made something that I am not so sure how playable it is but try it. Simply use the left and right arrow keys to change the direction of a plasma effect with gaps inside it and try to move it so the falling blobs won't touch the blue plasma field and only go through the plasma gaps. I don't know how fun that is but I wanted to contribute something :P

That's a heck of an original concept, I have no idea how you work out the collisions?

Very good idea and integrates a classic demo effect beautifully!

could simply be done by checking if any of the pixels in the falling blob hits anything other than zero i guess :)

but yeah, pretty cool concept.. good job :)

Yes and do this check only when the blob touches the plane of the plasma, only when Z from the falling blob is close to a Z value where I define that the plasma plane is there.

Thanks for the comments.

The most "demoish" project imho by the plasma master himself ! Amazing idea. 8) I made a little score but I'm not sure I get it all mate ;P
