Looks neat, but it terminates with a C runtime error on my machine. Maybe I don't have the correct libs to run it.

So much to love about this! That music you used is fantastic too :)
This has to be the first ever demo I've seen by you with music and scroll and everything! I never thought it would happen in my lifetime :) Thank you for supporting the comp and I hope you do well in the voting :)

Can you tell me exactly what it says?
Thanks,

About 15 hours I think.  I had some of the engine pre-done (3d, solids, math, sprites, fonts), but I had to code the pumpkins, flocking, lighting, trees, scrolly, sound, and a load of extra engine stuff to get it over the line.  Meant to have different generated faces on the pumpkins and a proper intro/outro segment but there just wasn't the time!  The plus side is the engine is really taking shape :D

Thanks for the good comments!

I've just checked it on my W2K box here and it was OK - I have nearly all the Microsoft patches on there, maybe that's the difference?
You need to have OpenGL and some MP3 decoder on your PC - I think that's every PC these days.  I statically linked all the msvc libraries because I know what a nightmare that can be.
Check the zip file downloaded OK.  In the same folder as pumpkin.exe you should have arial.bin, arial.bmp, face0.bmp, lightning.wav, osselets8rle.bin, osselets8rle.bmp and thunder.wav.  If any are missing or corrupted that might break it.
It's a shame if you can't play it :(

Everything seems intact. I get the same error in both versions. I have all the current patches, and updated drivers. Not really sure what is going on either.
