TRANSITION CHALLENGE
FORUM TOPIC: CLICK HERE VOTING CLOSED ON: 2008-04-05 NUMBER OF ENTRIES: 7

The challenge this time was to get from one screen to another. Dubious entries to this! 2nd place is tied 4 ways, so 6 entries are displayed here, luckily for you it does not include Shockwaves entry (which was a parody of the one Optimus made!).

This entry rotates a sheet of flexible material around. There is a different image displayed on each side. It rotates around, flexing as it does so.

Three different kinds of transition are included in this nice entry by Mind. It uses a nice Perlin - like algorithm for the transitions too.
COMPETITION WINNER! PLASMAGIRLS

AUTHOR:OPTIMUS POSITION:2ND DISCUSS:CLICK HERE DOWNLOAD:CLICK HERE DOWNLOADS:3409
Get the kleenex out, Optimus blends smoothly and in a plasma kind of way between several pictures. They are of presumably all of his ex girlfriends ;-)
COMPETITION WINNER! ASD FAN

AUTHOR:RBZ POSITION:2ND DISCUSS:CLICK HERE DOWNLOAD:CLICK HERE DOWNLOADS:3396
This effect takes inspiration from the demo "Lifeforce by ASD", it features ribbons curling vertically along the screen, kind of like fabric unrolling.
COMPETITION WINNER! FLOWER

AUTHOR:RBZ POSITION:2ND DISCUSS:CLICK HERE DOWNLOAD:CLICK HERE DOWNLOADS:3404
Here you will see different beautiful fractals, the transitions take the forum of geometrical flower petal shaped patters. He released two versions, one using pixel shaders, one without them.
COMPETITION WINNER! RELAX

AUTHOR:NINOGENIO POSITION:3RD DISCUSS:CLICK HERE DOWNLOAD: ERROR!!! NO ARCHIVE! DOWNLOADS:3426
Nino, instead of blending things into each other has used music as a cue to swap images, and this is probably the most demo-like entry we have here. It's in textmode too which is nice! Sadly the archive is lost, please get in touch if you have it!
